Taxation
Author:Alan Melville;
This is a guide for students taking a first level course in the subject of taxation. This 9th edition brings the book up-to-date in accordance with the provisions of the Finance Act 2003. Explanations are clear and supported by numerous worked examples.

Each chapter ends with a set of exercises that thoroughly test the reader's understanding of the topics introduced in the chapter. The book also contains four sets of review questions, one at the end of each part, drawn from past examination papers of the professional accounting bodies.

The solutions to most of the exercises and review questions are included in the final part of the book. SPIN - selling
Author:Neil Rackham;
True or false? In selling high-value products or services:
- 'closing' increases your chance of success
- it is essential to describe the benefits of your product or service to the customer
- objection handling is an important skill
- open questions are more effective than closed questions.

All false, says Neil Rackham. He and his team studied more than 35,000 sales calls made by 10,000 sales people in 23 countries over 12 years. Their findings revealed that many of the methods developed for selling low-value goods just don’t work for major sales. Rackham went on to introduce his SPIN®-Selling method, where SPIN® describes the whole selling process - Situation questions, Problem questions, Implication questions, Need-payoff questions.

SPIN®-Selling provides you with a set of simple and practical techniques which have been tried in many of today’s leading companies with dramatic improvements to their sales performance. Available for the first time in paperback, and featuring a new preface by the author.
The Power of Resilience
Author:Robert Brooks;

Now in paperback, the book that shows readers how to build their capacity for resilience. Resilience is a hot topic today. We are all conscious that bad things happen in the world, but Brooks and Goldstein demonstrate how anyone can cultivate a stronger, more positive outlook

Many adults have become trapped in what Brooks and Goldstein refer to as "negative scripts," which are repetitive, counterproductive ways of thinking and behaving that adversely influence all areas of their lives including interpersonal relationships. These negative scripts are written over years and become a permanent way of thinking for many people, serving as barriers for effective change and for meeting emotional, social, and vocational potential.

The Power of Resilience offers strategies for rewriting these negative scripts in order to develop resilience and hope in ourselves and in others. The concept of resilience touches on many features of everyday life, including the capacity to develop and express empathy, communicate effectively, accept others, deal comfortably with mistakes, solve problems and make decisions, and interact responsibly and in a compassionate and self-disciplined way with family, friends, and colleagues.
The Nature of Risk
Author:Justin Marris

Sometimes the biggest risk of all is taking one, and the need to be sure you are making the right choice actually increases the risk. The market is not efficient and hedging doesn't work. To rely on charts to understand the market is Mamis' way. The author is an excellent market technician who offers sound financial guidance and insights into the prepared mind. He gets your thinking going with a comfortable investment philosphy that will often go against convention. There are enough anecdotes, war stories, and charts to make for sound advise. The path to market freedom is technique, and you don't have to be one of the best traders to succeed with experience. It seems to me that the entire 1990s have confirmed the ambiguities of market language and how to operate in such a world. You will know how to keep risk at bay which most of us find not to be an easy task. 241 pages.

Self Adaptive Options & Currency Trading
The main thrust of this book is to show you how, with inexpensive tools, you can begin with a limited amount of capital and make your capital grow impressively. You can easily double your capital annually. I have examined the Index Options available for trading and have selected the best for reasons discussed in the following pages. Also, I have sifted through a number of common stock options and selected the best stock options to trade.

In response to the interests of readers of my previous two options books (The 100% Return Options Trading Strategy and The Insiders Automatic Options Strategy published by Windsor Books), I have selected the best Commodity Futures Options to trade and I describe the strategies in this book. I describe how the Wells-Wilder Indicator, whose equations are included, can be used to decide when to open Index Options, Stock Options, and Future Options positions and make a short term profit.

Finally I learned from an expert in Currency Trading from Madrid that one can use the same Wells-Wilder Indicator to decide when to buy and sell Currencies as well as for opening Options positions. One outstanding advantage of currency trading is the great leverage of one's capital. For example, one may buy or sell one lot of currency with a trading account of only $1,000 where the value of one lot is close to $100,000.

This book will show you how to make your capital grow safely using the above strategies. The Credit Spread strategy provides a steady monthly income that increases with your capital growth. The Debit Spread strategy uses a computed market signal called the Wells-Wilder Indicator (a relative strength indicator) to find targets of opportunity to augment your monthly income above the steady income. This Wells-Wilder Indicator is a signal when to open a position for potential profit for a few trading days at a time.

A method of using the Wells-Wilder Indicator to decide when to buy and sell High Technology Growth stocks is described. The possible profits of buying and holding growth stocks for long term is also presented.

The book presents you with all the equations and algorithms used in my Self Adaptive Trading Software using Microsoft Windows / Excel programs so you may create your own software on your personal computer. A number of sample Charts and Spread Sheets that you many create with your own software are presented.

In order to avoid filling the book with out of date Charts, I have limited the charts to one per chapter. All the up to date charts are available from the author by sending an email request for Self Adaptive Options & Currency Charts. This file will be sent to you as an email attachment for a small handling fee. My email address is: jonsch1@verizon.net
